A Father-Son Duo Behind Tap Truck Midwest
At Tap Truck Midwest, we’re more than just a mobile bar service. We’re a family-owned business built on a shared passion for entrepreneurship, bringing people together, and creating unforgettable experiences.
Based in Delano, Minnesota, Tap Truck Midwest is proudly owned and operated by father-son duo Cooper and Mike Nielsen.
Our journey began when Cooper, a young entrepreneur, sold his lawn care business and recognized an exciting opportunity in the mobile bar industry. After sharing his vision with his father, Mike, the two decided to take on the adventure together.
Today, they work side by side to grow Tap Truck Midwest, combining their strengths, experience, and commitment to providing exceptional service.

With our vintage 1953 GMC tap truck and indoor bar trailer, we’re proud to bring a unique and memorable mobile bar experience to celebrations throughout Minnesota.

Meet Cooper Nielsen
Co-Owner | Marketing & Operations
Cooper has always had an entrepreneurial mindset. After starting, growing, and eventually selling his own lawn care business, he was eager to take on his next business venture. That opportunity came through Tap Truck Midwest.
Cooper is currently studying Entrepreneurship at Iowa State University, where he also plays collegiate hockey. While balancing academics and athletics, he remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Tap Truck Midwest, with a particular focus on marketing, social media, customer communications, and event coordination.
For Cooper, one of the most rewarding parts of the business is having the opportunity to build something alongside his father while creating memorable experiences for customers.
Meet Mike Nielsen
Co-Owner | Operations & Customer Experience
Mike brings valuable professional experience and a strong commitment to customer relationships to Tap Truck Midwest. Outside of the business, Mike works as an insurance agent at NFP, where building relationships and providing dependable service are central to his work.
As co-owner, Mike works closely with Cooper on all aspects of the business, from event preparation and planning to helping ensure every celebration runs smoothly.
For Mike, Tap Truck Midwest is more than another business opportunity. It’s a chance to share a special experience with his son, strengthen their father-son bond, and watch their shared vision continue to grow.

Creating unforgettable moments is our specialty. We arrive at your event in our vintage truck customized with 5 taps ready to serve your favorite craft beer, seltzer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages that Minnesota has to offer. Our setup paired with your venue produces a picturesque environment providing extraordinary photo opportunities for you and your guests.
There’s no place too classy and none too casual. From 50 guests to 500, you invite ‘em, we’ll serve ‘em!
Pricing
Our prices vary based on the size of your event, selection of beverages and any exclusive add-ons. We want to provide you with a one-of-a-kind experience and share our passion with you. We pride ourselves in being able to work with any budget.
Truck Rental
Truck rental is per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. Your truck rental fee will depend on type of event.
